The Samaritans

‘Online retailer Knitting Network reached out to us when we launched our online shop and elected to support charities chosen by us. Their customers are given the opportunity to round up their payments to the nearest £1 at the check out. They then matched all the donations meaning that double the amount raised by they customers would be donated to the chosen charity.

Thank you for all your support Amy’

Help!

‘It is not a sign of weakness to call a helpline. It takes courage, a sign of strength.  Not only at crisis point either. Normalise that conversation for them. Tell them it is okay. Discuss with them which they would call.  Make that conversation absolutely 100% okay. The Samaritans are completely anonymous. They are there for anyone worried about someone too, they will offer help and advice. They want to speak to you way before that crisis point is reached.

Think of it like this. We do fire drills not because we know there will be a fire but because if there is one, everyone will know what to do. We want everyone to survive. Why would we not do the same with this?’

Hindsight is 2020. What good is that. Take a moment to click here to be taken to their website. Read and read and learn…so that if you have to help someone you know how. Know your enemy
